on : He is still very much fond of Red in his own way. He is also very much aware that Red is not at all fond of him, and yet Red is willing to be civil, which is always a nice change. Even though he knows Red invited him to stay to dinner with Lacerta and Cepheus because it was a way to eat their food before it was taken from them, Izaya did like the fact that Red was even willing to put up with him. It certainly shows that Red is able to play a certain game in order to get the things he wants, which is A+++. Outside of that, Izaya always finds Red as someone refreshing to talk to. It could have something to do with both of them having roles of info-gathers and informants at times.

Izaya has been noticing that Red's been wearing down a bit and this is an interesting development. So Izaya wants to stick around and play nice with Red and talk about silly things like past games and dumb teammates (re: Zim) and such. Harmless things, mostly. But it's not out of any kindness but more to see how weary Red is, how he's still coping with the pressures around him, and how he's going to play this game while under that stress.

I suppose if there was any comparison to be made, Izaya sort of sees Red as someone approaching Shinra's level. The whole "In short: you make me want to vomit but I will still let you be my terrible not-friend thing" kind of thing. /handwaves handwaves. Basically Red slips into the Shows He Does Not Like Izaya Sometimes But Largely Puts Up With Him category. Which is always fun for someone like Izaya who... would keep coming back even if Red more actively hated him. Haha :'D

on : Unlike with Red, Izaya doesn't have much interest with Arson outside of the fact that he is a Vulpecula and Vulps are HILARIOUS to poke at. Though he has seen that Arson is difficult to ruffle feathers on, so Izaya largely pokes at the kid's teammates to get the kid to react. He's aware that he can push things too far with said kid--or all of Vulpecula--but Izaya likes to live that sort of lifestyle, so who knows?

He WILL be very interested to find out that the new Caduceus has a connection to Arson though. That will be a whole new fun game. :')

on : Still relatively fond of Arson! Mostly because he's one of the more accepting Vulps that Aven feels like he can deal with more than once without feeling like he's about to get shanked or something. During the Game Master game, though, Aven tried to stick with low-level hits and is actually glad that the game did not continue on past round two because chances were that Ursa would have started to slam Vulpecula because they knew that Vulpecula would do the same to them. That's not to say Aven WANTS that kind of thing to happen, but that's how it would go. And it's largely because of games like these that Aven will be friendly with Arson and his more accepting teammates, but ultimate, he will not try to be friends with them (it would hurt too much 8().

on : Has been... off lately and as such has not been around to see Red much since he's gotten back from the Pillar. The brief impression that he got from Red when he DID show back up, though, was one of stress and worry and misery and exhaustion. In other words, Kaito can see that Red is getting a bit frayed at the edges and he really would like to do more to help ease the situation except lolz... Kaito's in a pretty terrible position himself. Even right now, he would love to be able to just sit and chat with Red, but blindness and such also puts a bit of a damper on that. HOWEVER, Kaito is perfectly willing to drag Red out and about even while unable to see. In fact, I foresee Kaito insisting that Red be his Seeing Eye Blank so Trixie can go do other things /handwaves.

He still very much loves Red like a bro and feels terrible for not doing more to help him even though Red did a LOT for him when he was going crazy before the Pillar and all... 8(

on : HE STILL FEELS LIKE THIS KID HATES HIM FOR SOME REASON. Mostly, Jinx has been trying to play the Nice Guy around Arson but is finding it a bit hard to keep from being a bit more smart-mouthed and sharp with his words in some regards. In others, Kaito and Kid mostly snark with Arson because THIS IS WHAT THEY DO WITH LITTLE KIDS. Largely, Kaito isn't sure quite what to do with Arson but the few times they seem to actually be COMMUNICATING has been wonderful and also fun. While a tiny, Arson's pretty sharp and intuitive. This, along with the fact that Kaito knows ANOTHER tiny who is NOT REALLY A TINY, kind of often makes Kaito forget that ARSON IS JUST A KID. Orz. Which could be where some miscommunication lies.

Beyond that, Kaito mostly likes Arson, but he does get a bit weary of not knowing how to relate to the kid. (If he thinks too hard on it, Jinx will suddenly be reminded of how he used to act toward Lucky when he first started out as a blank. derp.)

Reverse!

Red is like UGH IZAYA. But he can still deal with Izaya even if he thinks he's a total slimeball loser. He kind of likes being able to be blunt and rude to someone in a place where a lot of the time he has to make nice. He trusts him about as far as Mokona could throw him. Sometimes he's amusing to talk to and if nothing else--at least he's a man who knows what he wants and isn't particularly shy about it. In a way, Izaya is at least simple to understand. ...still a little :| from the Old Sabra memories of him banging Allen Feramis though and doesn't like to see him near Lacerta.

Arson thinks of Izaya as a bit of a bully. Although he also thinks his team are a bunch of idiots for falling for his tactics. His feelings are all very oh its THIS motherfucker. :T Hi Terrorist-san. ...and yeah the Taisuke thing sob. THATS MINE DONT TOUCH IT

Red still likes Kaito a lot! Just. He hasn't had much time for others these days with how Cepheus keeps....cepheusploding. Still if they happened upon each other he'd happily hang out and drape on him and play at being lighthearted and such and try to cheer Kaito up.

Arson and Kaito is. Well, he doesn't wanna be mean to him. But he also can't help it. Even though he says he's over it, he's still kind of hurt by the reception Vulp had given him and he is childishly taking it out on Kaito sometimes. Other than that he can also be annoyed by Kaito's quirks--his stupid Mirror thing, his stupid fish thing, his stupid meat thing. MAN UP! That and Kaito's attitude isn't as obviously a damaged one as say--Teriha or Black. Those two he could easily see as fragile but Kaito not so much. So he doesn't feel like he needs to be gentle or nice with him. Just man up!!

Still there's something he likes about him sometimes and he can be fun. He likes watching him stupidly toe the dangerous line of Lucky's patience. ...and he does wanna see magic tricks ._. NOT THAT HE THINKS THATS COOL AT ALL STUPID LOSER

Kaito on the state of Hydracula.

Kaito's been pretty easily distracted by things! But largely, the general overview of Vulpecula has not changed, in his opinion. They still very much have their patterns and their certain ways of talking and behaving and tsun and dere and shounen retard antics.

On the other hand, Hydracula seems to be in an awkward place currently, largely because of the more recent games that have gone on. Gambler's game, of course, got him killed and then revived blind. And then Game Master's game got Boomer killed which made Arson upset and VULEPCULA SMASH reaction to that, of course. Chika missing has been making Kaito a bit anxious, but knowing he's at least with a Judge and not the Pillar helps.

AND THEN YOU GET INTO THE AWKWARD TERRITORY OF HYDRA COVERING VULPECULA'S ASSES AGAIN. And that makes Kaito pause and orz and things, especially when Scowl and Lucky can be heard arguing about the point. And yet this will always make Vulpecula even more dere for Hydra and yes 8( Things.

Idk, Kaito has been mostly sitting back and taking it all in again, so he's still figuring out the subtle nuances that have changed or shifted while he was away. Largely, he is still very much fond of Hydracula in that... Hydraculan way, but on the other hand, they can drive him crazy sometimes (like when people purposefully mock him of his phobias and such o999). But yeah. Uh. Things.

Arson's reaction to having Taisuke on the black team: go!

WHY ARE YOU HERE AT ALL! GAWD! I was gonna save you! Stupid Taisuke!!!

Its weird that he's on Ophi and Arson doesn't know how to react to it. In a way it's better cuz he won't have to make hard decisions or get killed! But he thinks doing cruel tasks is out of Taiusuke's range of ability and he's worried for what he may have to do. But because it's Taisuke, he's willing to do anything to help him accomplish what he has to do to survive. Taisuke is here now so he's not allowed to go away.

A really important thing in all this is Taisuke's first words to him. You're him. Taisuke knew he was here. To Arson it means Taisuke came for him. As someone who craves love and acceptance like Arson its a huge thing. Biggest emotional boost. He was having a lot of problems after Zexion's nightmare game cuz it lolariously raised his Kingdom Hearts darkness levels! ALL GONE. TAISUKE'ED AWAY.

It was a hilarious contrast to how Red reacts to canonmates appearing. Red feels awkward and doesn't know where he stands. But Arson didn't hesitate even a second to throw himself on Taisuke and wait for some god damn love. It's that childish part of him that trusts in Taisuke beyond being realistic about it. It could have been disastrous. Taisuke could have not known who this kid was suppose to be and pushed him away and Arson would have been devastated and hurt and feeling rejected even when he knew he shouldn't. But it worked out and he was rewarded!

I just. afghjkl. Arson has so many Taisuke feelings. He's someone he doesn't have any hesitations about emotionally from the get go. I think only the digimon can brag that in Sabra. Its nice to feel 100% secure and sure about something in a place that's always changing things and making his life harder.

What would Kaito change about his life right now? Anything at all. Remove Lucky as leader? Undo Mirror hijinx? Dissolve Ophiuchus?

Kaito wouldn't remove the Mirror Hijinx. That is to say... Jinx wouldn't allow it. He would put up a fight. Because Jinx is the Vulpecula part of Kaito and thus is desperate to survive in some way, shape, or form.

But honestly, if Kaito were to change something, he would try to change Jinx into something a bit more functional. Because as he is, Jinx is a completely mess. A mess that has learned to function in spite of how damaged he was. Which is sort of horrific, really, if Kaito thinks about it too long. But one reason KAITO wouldn't just get rid of Mirror hijinx and thus Jinx himself is because there's a possibility that doing that would erase everything he's ever done in Sabra, and he doesn't want that at all.

But to fix Jinx somehow? That is something that both Kaito and Kid desperately want. Because all three of the personalities know that this is something that CANNOT be carried home with him. He wouldn't be able to function, he would end up falling into Sabra patterns in a world where those patterns just CAN'T be accepted. He is a thief and a magician and Jinx wouldn't have any use there, except that they can't just get rid of him... 8(

Anyway, that's all very very complicated.

As for Kaito's life in Sabra right now, he would change the rules about people being allowed to come over to Hydracula BECAUSE LUCKY THROWING SUCH A FIT OVER DOVE COMING OVER WAS DUMB, AND SHE'LL DO IT WITH ALL OF MY FRIENDS AND >I!!!!

... basically, yeah. Derp.

Name your favorite relationships in Sabra and why!

Oh gosh uhm.

I love Red and all of Cepheus. Its a lot of bro and family and feelings and Red trying really hard to be the strong one for all of them. And the various ways they react to that and tell him he's stupid and needs to take care of himself. I love Red and Rapunzel cuz it's just such a pile of fluttery cutesy feelings. I love Red and Allen cuz it's stupidly overly complex but overall it boils down to a simple and pure fierce extreme love and they're kinda soul married even if they'll never be an actual couple.

Arson and the sharks! He adores them--even stupid Fang!!!--and they provide some important feelings that enable Arson to function healthily in Hydracula. They keep him feeling loved and protected and accepted. Boomer gives him those feelings too! Those three really are what keep him okay. Also its really cute. Also Arson and Zexion is really interesting to me. I don't really know what to compare them to. Zexion isn't a dad or a brother or a uncle. He's kind of a mentor maybe? But they just have a lot of mutual respect for each other and Arson feels equal to him, even if he's carried around by him...a lot. And Arson and Parrot--cute tsun feelings and Parrot wanting to be his daddy kyaaaaa. And Arson and Thumper amuse me cuz Arson usually ends up kinda...treating him like he would a bad dog. :| No Thumper don't do that you terrifying psychopath. OH and Arson and Link! SO CUTE ALSO
