Game 67 - Memory 5
Jan. 10th, 2010 02:21 am5th Memory
♣ First being taught Poker Face by his father (Pages 14+15, )
This memory occurs when Kaito is still just a kid, could be anywhere from 6 to 9 years old. His father comes by, picks him up, and takes him to a table where some friends of his are playing cards. Kaito listens as these men congratulate his father on a great show before his father sits down and puts Kaito in his lap. His father is holding an AWESOME hand involving 4 Aces and a Jack while explaining to Kaito what "Poker Face" means. To not reveal anything on a person's face, whether they're dealt a good hand or a bad, fooling anyone and everyone at the table (except, of course, as he was still young, Kaito couldn't quite manage it).
"Kaito... remember. No matter where you are... always keep a good Poker Face."
( For those of you who have Lady Gaga in your head... )
Lessons Learned
- He adored his father.
- His father likely taught him a lot of what he knows in magic, especially Poker Face.
- Mirror is horribly, HORRIBLY ironic--funhouse mirror, indeed.
- This is definitely a way to get things back to the way they were before.
- There's no need to tell anyone else about his problems or issues. Except maybe Kirk and Ikki.
